Here are some answers to common questions

We understand you may have questions. To assist you, we’ve compiled a list of common questions and their answers.

What is the process of commissioning a drawing of my pet?

Send us an email with an attached picture of your pet. Please understand that graphite drawings are only as good as the picture used. If your picture is blurry, too much light, or not enough light I’ll ask you for another and explain why. Headshots of your pets are the best as the reflection in their eyes will make their spirit shine through the drawing. After we both agree on what picture to use, we’ll edit the picture (crop, etc…) and present it to you for final approval. Your pet drawing will be put on the list. Each drawing takes anywhere from 20 to 40 hours, or more, to draw. Once on the list you’ll be sent an approximation date when we’ll begin. When the day arrives to begin, we’ll reach out to you and request a non-refundable advance of 50% of the price. When payment is received and funds verified, your personally commissioned drawing will begin. When the drawing is completed, we’ll request the remaining funds and verify your address for shipping. The drawing will come in a suitable frame just for shipping and we certainly recommend you purchase or create your own frame to your liking.

How can I purchase a pet drawing?

You can purchase a digital copy of any pet drawing in the gallery for $20 by requesting via email. To commission your own personal drawing of your pet, see the process listed above.

What materials do you use for the drawings?

We use high-quality paper and graphite pencils to create detailed and lifelike drawings, ensuring each piece captures the essence of your pet.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally. Fees and delivery times vary. Artwork is packaged with care.

When is the payment due?

See the FAQ for “What is the process of commissioning a drawing of my pet?”

What if I want a refund or redo?

Since the artist cannot regain the time it takes to create the drawing (20-40 hrs) there is no refund or redo. If you’re not satisfied with something about the drawing, we can certainly discuss to see if sending it back to be worked on a little bit more is a viable solution.
